Hey… It’s Been a While…

January 26, 2011

Hey well thank you to all those who have left comments and stuff (I mean the good ones).

Though I quit this blog partially because I was no longer pagan (more on the atheist side of life) and the fact that I was getting pretty hateful comments, I’ve started a new blog on atheism, high school, writing, goth and other dark things of that nature.

If you want to go read it here’s the link:

http://hayleycallaway.blogspot.com

I really like the title. I call it The Exorcism of Hayley Callaway even though there’s no way to get the demons out of me. Haha.

This Blog Has Been Discontinued

April 13, 2010

Sorry guys but it’s just that blogging was fun at first. Now it seems more like a chore to me. And frankly I’m sick of all the horrid comments.

Sorry.

I’ll still be in the blogosphere though reviewing books that I read with my other blog The Witch Reads. See you guys whenever.

Old Guy Needs to Take a Chill Pill

March 29, 2010

Hey reader,

The other day we had a substitute for Biology, which usually means yeah no work and just spending the period hanging out with Franklin. We were over by the lab tables and he called me over there saying that I shouldn’t be over there with him and that he has problems. He was basically trying to act like he’s my dad or something.

He accused Franklin of being stoned because he was wondering around, zoning out and can’t walk straight. For those that know him, that’s just him. I swear I know I’m going to get comments saying “how do you know he wasn’t stoned?” trust me I know. That’s  just him.

Then, some boys were throwing paper balls at a girl in my class and he sent HER, the victim, out. Not a minute later he was writing Franklin a referrel for whatever bogus reason. He wouldn’t let him explain why he was not stoned and explain that he did bring all his stuff to class.

When I tried to defend both him and the girl in my class, I got a “stop acting like a lawyer!”

Old guy needs to take a chill pill.

On another unrelated note, I found this really great website for Wiccan supplies. I shall give you the link… here.

Please READ CAREFULLY Before You Comment…

March 24, 2010

Hey readers,

Just like any blogger, I love receiving comments. Even though some can be quite ignorant I enjoy laughing at them. And I’m pretty sure I know who is behind the “hurtful” (rolls eyes) comments. They want to be a bitch/asshole but fail miserably.

I love it when you comment, Willow and the occasional comment from Tyler. You guys are awesome.

But seriously. Why do I get comments that say “you’re going to have to do community college wether you like it or not” when I clearly state in my post that I WANT to go to community college first? That is not the first time I’ve gotten a comment from a confused reader trying to yoke me out for something.

So please, read carefully before you comment. I encourage commenting because I love good feedback or constructive criticism but I hate it when people say “oh the things you post are pointless” when they don’t understand it at all.

I know I’m young but don’t talk to me like I’m a stupid little girl. I don’t write what I don’t know.

Halo: Fantasy Football for the Younger Generation

March 23, 2010

Hey guys

Right now I’m sitting in the computer lab at lunch time, waiting for the bell to ring. I’ve heard of Fantasy Football “widows” but this is just as bad if not worse. You see, Halo is a video game so they can play it all year round and my boyfriend is addicted to it (though he vehemently denies it, the minutes on the clock while he’s on Halo say different).

If he’s not addicted to it, then why does he play it EVERY lunch period? I guess I can’t complain, there are worse things to get addicted to but seriously? It’s like he never wants to spend time with me. I’ve tried playing it but it either bores me or I keep on getting spawn killed by his friends. Anybody have any suggestions? How do Fantasy Football widows get through the season? (But for me it’s the entire year.)

Movie Review: Alice in Wonderland

March 22, 2010

In this Tim Burton version of Lewis Carroll’s classic book Alice in Wonderland, nearly twenty-year-old Alice (Mia Wasikowska) is a dreamer whose silly wonderings are discouraged by everyone around her. One day, at a party, she follows the most peculiar thing: a white rabbit in a waistcoat. Trying to see where it’s going, she falls deep into a hole under a tree where she comes to the place she hadn’t been since she was a kid. And she will have to defend the land she dreamed about from the evil Queen of Hearts (Helena Bonham Carter) by slaying one of the most terrifying creatures in Wonderland.

First of all I must say this: absolutely beautiful. I loved the set of the world of Wonderland. Even the burned down places and the castles for both queens were lovely. Having watch the Disney cartoon version of the story, I loved seeing the parallels between the cartoon and this movie. My favorite part was seeing the flowers talk.

Johnny Depp was absolutely mad! Although, I do find it a bit disappointing that he has orange hair instead of the gray in the cartoon, but other than that he was great.

I also fell in love with all the dresses Alice wore. I love dresses and especially ones like in this movie. I’ll see if I can put up a picture of my favorite one.

Here it is:

Isn’t it beautiful?

Well with all this I have to give Alice in Wonderland, in my opinion:

Tarot Card of the Week: The Hierophant

March 22, 2010

Planet or Sign: Taurus

Upright Meaning

“It is time to take sound advice from someone you trust. The Hierophant often reveals an authority figure, such as a father, teacher or other mentor. He symbolizes practical wisdom, so his influence can help you resolve a challenge. This card also denotes a spirtiual dimension, so it can indicate that you are about to embark on a new course of learning that will bring you closer to your soul’s purpose.”

Reversed Meaning

“The influence of an oppressive, older person who harangues you with unasked-for advice. Do not be deceived by someone older in years because you assume they are wiser. The information may be wrong, and they may use their status to manipulate you.”

Hoaglie Ate Yoyos Likely Eating Yours!

March 21, 2010

Like it? It’s spells out my name in the first letters of each word (yes it’s an acronym!): Hayley. My best friend Rachel came up with it when we were in eighth grade. I just wanted to post something and did know what to talk about or what to name this post so I just gave it a random title.

Anyway, I just got back home from watching Alice in Wonderland. I’ll post a review of it soon. It was beautiful. My sister took me because she promised if I cleaned her cat’s litter box she would take me.

Well, I wish I had more to talk about. I guess I’ll see you later!

Online School- Good Alternative or Cop Out?

March 17, 2010

Hey reader,

I really want to take online school after a fiasco at my school where one of the kids decided to threaten me with a beating from his sister and to run me over with his car.

The same day, in almost the same exact hour, I was trying to take a Biology test like we all were supposed to do. These ghetto kids decided to talk almost the entire time right behind me and the teacher would get into their conversation. Finally, after another break in my concentration, I told them that I’m trying to take a test and they should be quiet. They went balistic and this other ghetto girl starting saying stuff like she had no problem with their talking until I spoke. God, she was a bitch.

So now I’m on a quest to prove to my mother that online school is not only for pregnant and expelled teenagers. I really need some help with this one, guys. She’s convinced that I’m going to go to a normal school. I just can’t take people, that’s why I want to be a writer so I won’t have to deal with any of their crud. I can just stay in my little writing hole at my desk.

Not that I will become a hermit. I will still hang out with my friends and Franklin. I am probably going to get a bus pass so I’ll be all over this town. I want to volunteer at the Pinole Animal Shelter if mom lets me do online school. I’ll have more time to get to the base academics and skip all the BS that takes over 95% of the school day.

I’ve already looked at schools and I really want to enroll in Kaplan. I was thinking before that maybe I could take online classes and try to graduate early but then about every online school I looked at forced all the students to be enrolled full-time.

Please, someone out there, tell me that there are other, good, successful kids who took online school.

P.S. Besides, high school won’t really count for me because I plan on going to a community college before transferring into a university so I just need to do good in community college and they will most likely overlook all the high school stuff.
